Day 4 - December 11, 2018 (Tuesday)

Now that we are on Day 4 and logging what I have been eating, it becomes very clear that I am not eating healthy at all.   Here is the change up!

NO eating after 7:00pm
NO coffee after 3:00pm
Only 1,200 calories per day (very strict with this)

Day 4 begins here!

Breakfast:  210 calories
Wawa Latte with milk only
Medium Banana

Lunch:   300 calories
3 eggs scrambled with 1/4 cup milk (salt & pepper)

It is now mid day, 12:30 pm eastern time.   I am drinking more water than sparkling water too.
Going to cut back on sparkling water too.  I want to drink and eat more whole foods vs processed.

Lunch 2:  300 calories
1 med baked potato & applesauce

Dinner:   400 calories
Lean Cuisine dinner - 300 calories
Applesauce (1/2 cup)

It is now 5:00 pm eastern time.  After this only water

Going to eliminate sparkling water for 1 week to see if it makes a difference in hunger and bloating levels.

I broke down and had 6 slices of bacon that I cooked here at home.

No sparkling water so far :) This is a one week test to see if it helps to reduce hunger and bloat.
I will be going to sleep a little hunger today but this is needed until I lose weight and shrink my stomach back.

Day 3 - December 10, 2018 (Monday)

Started my day with the following:  (must correct this behavior)

1/2 Breakfast Biscuit and 3 Christmas Cookies (end of biscuits) and cookies are being given away to get them out of the house.  I have too much of a weakness when it comes to easy to grab snacks and foods.  I need to keep them out of the house.

Now to determine if the daily wawa latte is a problem.  It is made with milk and no sugar and no flavors.  But it is still 110 calories.

100 calories 1/2 Biscuit
110 latte
150 cookies

360 calories for breakfast

Lunch:

3 Eggs (fried with 1 tablespoon butter - NO Margarine)

Sparkling Water & Black Coffee

Dinner:

270 calories Lean Cuisine Dinner
Cottage Cheese (1/2 cup)
Applesauce (1/2 cup)

Cookies are all gone, I sent them home with a friend.
Biscuits are all gone and we will not purchase any more carb type foods!

Tonight I was a little hungry for a snack so I made a medium backed potato with butter and applesauce.

Day 2 - December 9, 2018

OMG I just got on the scale and I can not believe that I let myself get to 210.  (No wonder I am always tired)  My normal weight at my age of 68 should be about 160.   And, if I want to go a little higher then 175 is the MAX.   Motto of today "Weight will hold you back"

So, today we will implement the calorie intake counting.   I know that eating less means counting calories and there is no getting around it.  Back when I was dieting before and based on my activity level I can only eat about 900 to 1100 calories per day in order to lose weight.

I know that when I eat between 1200 and 1500 calories I maintain my weight so here we go.

The start of my day is with Deer Park Sparking Water (0 calories, 0 sodium, 0 carbs).
And, for every sparkling water I drink, I will drink a glass or bottle of plain bottled water.

(I drink NO TAP water) I don't believe it is safe long term to drink.

Breakfast:
1 Breakfast Biscuit with raisins  (170 Calories)

Mid Day:
Christmas Cookies
1 Breakfast Biscuit with raisins

Dinner:
Wendys Chicken Sandwich
Medium Vanilla Frosty (Wendys)

Noticing a pattern here:  Too many carbohydrates and processed foods.  I need to go grocery shopping and pick up veggies and proteins that I make at home!  No more easy foods.

Better Day tomorrow!
Progress is recognizing what you are doing wrong and correcting it along the way.

Day 1 - December 8, 2018

Yes, I am starting my diet or should I say lifestyle change today and right before the Holiday Season!
I have gained and dropped and gained the same 50 pounds over and over again and it has to stop here!  I want to look and feel better for myself and want to only gain energy not weight.

-------------
So far today:

Time consumed 10:00-11:30 am (we will call this breakfast)

1 wawa plain latte - coffee with milk no flavor no sugar
2 eggs (fried with 1 tablespoon real butter

Dinner - 5:00 pm (dinner at a restaurant)

Patty Melt - 2 bread, burger, cheese, onions, green peppers
French Fries, Pickle & small coleslaw
Club Soda

Mid Day - 7 Christmas Cookies & Breakfast Biscuit

Walking Time - #Steps (will begin to clock steps again on Sunday the 9th)
Approx steps (less than 5K)
Need to get this to a minimum of 10K per day
-------------

I am a person that eats when I am bored, stressed, watching TV or just mindless eating for no reason.

I am a person that is addicted to carbohydrates like bread, cakes, cookies, potatoes, dairy, cheese, pastas, etc. Foods that are easy to grab are my biggest downfall.   So, preparing is the name of the game. Conscious eating for the purpose of being healthier is the name of the game.

I have no excuses.  I am on no medications, I do not drink any alcohol and I do not smoke.  I drink only bottled water, no soda except for club soda or sparkling water.  I do drink coffee and tea (with no sugar added) and will be limiting my dairy consumption as of today.

I definitely do not move enough.  I find myself being busy but need to eat less and move more!
So, this will be today's motto:  "Eat LESS & Move MORE"

GOAL #1 to lose 10 pounds
Long term goal to lose 40 pounds

Regrets for the day:  cookies, breakfast biscuit with raisins, french fries
Better on Day 2 :)
